Prom Information


Royal Ball Roseville Junior/Senior Prom 2024

Date: Saturday April 27, 2024

Time: 8-11 pm

Location: Union Depot (Waiting Room) 214 4th St East, St. Paul 

  • Picture ID is Required to Enter

  • Tickets must be purchased online at https://lobby.edutrak.com/ Mar 11-April 3 $25; April 4-April 25 at 3pm $40. 

  • No admittance after 9:30 p.m.

  • No re-entry once you leave

  • Outside food or drink is not permitted

  • There is a place to put your coats, but it is unsupervised. All small bags, purses, etc will be screened.

  • Alcoblow screening test will be given to all guests prior to entry

  • If you are bringing a guest the guest form must be turned in by April 3rd through emailing concetta.smith@isd623.org or physically turned into the activities office.

  • If a junior or senior is bringing a 9th/10th grader from RAHS or FAHS please visit Celina Price in the activities office to be billed.

 

Where is prom?

Prom will be in the Waiting Room at Union Depot, which is located at 214 4th St. East, St. Paul.

 

How do I get to Union Depot?

From RAHS–Union Depot is about 15 minutes away.

Take 36 East to 35E South. Take exit 107A for 10th St/Wacouta St. Use the middle lane to follow signs for Wacouta St/10th St. Continue straight onto Wacouta St. Turn right onto E Kellogg Blvd and Union Depot is on your right.

 

Where can I park?

Parking is available at the corner of Sibley St and Kellogg Blvd in underground Lot A. You can also park in lot B and C, typically for $4.

 

Ticket Information 

Prices will increase as shown below:

  • March 11-April 3 $25; 

  • April 4-April 25 at 3pm $40.

Are refunds given? No, refunds are not given.

 

Do I get a ticket for admittance to prom?

No, you will be on a list. You will need a photo ID to get into the prom.

 

Can I bring a guest who does not attend RAHS/FAHS?

 Yes. The guest must be under the age of 21. A guest form must be emailed to Concetta.Smith@isd623.org by Wednesday, April 3rd by 11:59pm for non-RAHS/non-FAHS guests or given directly to Celina Price in the activities office. Concetta will email you with a confirmation that your email was received. When the guest form is turned in the RAHS/FAHS student will be billed online for their guest’s ticket. Guests must show ID at prom.

 

Can I bring a guest that is a RAHS or FAHS student in 9th or 10th grade?

Yes. Since the Junior/Senior has to bring you as a guest you must go into the activities office and talk to Celina Price. She will then bill the 9th or 10th grader for their prom ticket through our online system.

 

What if I have a fine or fee? Tickets will not be sold to anyone with a fine. Pay all fines first, then purchase your prom tickets.

 

What is the dress code? Prom is a formal event, typically students wear dresses, suits, ties, etc. 

 

Attire can be expensive, are there any resources available?

Yes, please connect with your counselor or the prom committee for some options. The prom committee has gently used or new attire that students can have for the event. The Prom Closet will be open starting March 1st-April 23rd. You can visit the Prom Closet before or after school, during conferences on April 23rd, or arrange a time by emailing Jamie.Lauinger@isd623.org or Concetta.Smith@isd623.org.  The prom closet mostly has dresses, but a few suits. If you are interested in a suit/tux, please contact Mr. Anthony Anderson (anthony.anderson@isd623.org) by April 3rd, as he is able to help you rent a suit/tux at Rosedale for $20.

 

When does the dance start and end?

The doors open at 8pm. There is no admittance after 9:30pm and no refunds will be given. The dance ends at 11pm. Please have your ride ready.

 

Am I able to leave prom and re-enter?

No re-admittance will be allowed after leaving.

 

Can I request music?

The prom committee is reaching out to hear what you want to play via schoology and social media. If you have a specific song you want to hear at prom please connect with a prom committee member or email Concetta.Smith@isd623.org to have your song added to the playlist.

 

What about Royalty?

Nominations for royalty will be done via a Google form in April-watch for messages on schoology.

 

Will there be food at prom?

Yes, there will be snacks and beverages available free of charge.

 

Will there be an opportunity to have pictures taken?

Yes, MusicMix Entertainment will be providing 2 photobooths for some fun photos at no additional charge.

 

What is a Grand March and will we have one?

Grand March is a processional for prom-goers which allows them to be presented to family, friends, community and peers. Grand March will be at RAHS on April 27th at 4pm. 

 

Is there a cost to watch the Grand March?

There is a suggested donation of $2 to watch Grand March or a donation to the RAHS food shelf.
